Utilize people fields in next gen project

Hi everybody,

Thanks to next gen project customizing issue field is way more easier. For example we are adding people field to identify who will be reviewing and testing the issue. But it is not functional at all. It is only possible to filter these people fields from search section but in next gen project we can not utilize these custom fields. 

I think there should be a feature for adding custom but simple filtering options in next gen board.

Any ideas appreciated.
