Hi,
We have created a custom field ("implement by project") to be able to share issues with other projects. Its a single select list field with project names.
If someone in project A want to send the issue to project B they simply set the custom field value to project B
In project B the filter is following: project = "project B" OR "implement by project" = project B"
So far so good. Both projects can see the issue in their boards and naturally both teams can update the issue.
The problem is that to be able to share issues like this the users need to have browse permissions in both projects. To be able to start/stop sprints some users also need to have manage sprint permissions in both projects.
What we want to achieve is to share issues to other projects but restrict users from the the issues in the other projects that does not have their "implement by project" value. For that reason move/issue linking etc doesn't really fulfill what we want.
Do anyone know how to solve this? Preferably with only Jira but otherwise with add-on.
Thanks in advance!
