Possibility to automatically set the status when the stattus af a top level requirement is changed

Charlie October 9, 2020

her are details:

In the current project A1 there are a following Requirements structure levels :

Requirement 1) =>top level

  issue type:  A

Requirement 2)

  issue type:  B

Requirement 3) =>lower

  issue type:  C, D, E

  • If the status of a top level requirement is changed / content is changed then all "derived" requirements / "linked" test cases shall be switched to status "in Review"

e,g, A is changed

  1. all derived/linked  B shall switch to status= reopen
  2. all linked test case to B shall switch to status= reopen
  3. all  C linked to B shall switch to status= reopen
  4. all  Requirement 3) test case linked to C shall switch to status= reopen

may be someone knows if there is an addon that provide a mechanismus that support the above mentioned change management in that way ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello @Charlie ,

seems there are less ideas from the community on this. To my understanding it´s not as easy as you describe, there can be a lot of exceptions, additional rules etc. to support this.

If you still think this is an valuable addition to R4J please let us know by our support desk: https://support.easesolutions.com/
