One project, multiple plattforms and their issues

I would like to read possible approaches to addres that thing.

We currently have one JIRA project for both of our mobile apps.  The reason is we actally have almost the same requirements for both plattforms. Only in some cases we need to create an issue that is for iOS but not for Android.

The thing is that right now our Product Owner creates a story with the description of what we need to create and then we create tasks for bot plattforms or duplicate the original issue for the other plattform.

Now,  the result is that or we have to update information on both tickets or we introducing issues in sprint that have no estamation that are there just to remind us that their are the "parent ticket" with all the info os two plattform tasks.

What would you suggest about that situation?

If the issues are linked, the you could write a scriptrunner listener to update the linked issue when the parent gets updated.

We don't currently have that plugin.
Maybe we can evaluate it, but the truth is we don't have it right now.
