Need to create a ticket using SMS (text message)

Is there any way to set up Jira to recieve sms and convert them to Jira tickets?


Not directly, without add-ons.  I'm not aware of any that can monitor SMS boxes for incoming texts.

Indirectly, if you have an incoming gateway server that can accept SMS and convert it into either an email or a REST call out to JIRA, then yes, it's quite easy.

I'd check if adding an automation rule from Twilio (as SMS gateway) to JIRA using the Zapier service would be able to do this.
