Need issue collector as a hyperlink in jira

We are currently using ISSUE COLLECTOR functionality at jira.ea.com and was wondering if there is a way to include the issue collector as a hyperlink rather than a blue trigger - i.e. the user clicks the hyperlink and the JIRA issue collector form appears, rather than being restricted by having the user click the blue trigger that can aonly appear in certain places on a confluence page.

This migh´tbe helpful:

Go to Project Administration > Issue Collector > click on Issue Collector, get the Issue Collector ID from the end of the browser link. For example the collector ID below is "0a80f453"

http://localhost:8711/secure/ViewCollector!default.jspa?projectKey=SRS&collectorId=0a80f453

Replace <collectorid> in below URL with the collector ID above.

http://localhost:8711/rest/collectors/1.0/template/form/<collectorid>?os_authType=none#

Add hyperlink anywhere.

Hi Danyal,

Thanks for the API suggestion, here for the same case we use secured JIRA server to access. We get a blank screen when we try to use the solution. Suspecting,

...?os_authType=none#

Does "os_authType" needs to be changed to be something else instead "none#"?

https://localhost:8711/rest/collectors/1.0/template/form/<collectorid>?os_authType=none#

Thanks!

Prakash

I'm running into the same issue. We're trying to post a hyperlink on a Sharepoint site, but when the hyperlink is inserted as shown above, a blank page appears.

Has anyone managed to find a way to use a hyperlink to an Issue Collector yet?  I simply want to add a link in Confluence page that our users are already familiar with, can't believe this is so difficult to do!
