Jira reporting - Number of issues closed by the user

Hi Team,

We are in search of reports to display in dashboards.
1. Number of Tickets closed by the user.
2. Number of comments added by the user.

We can get No.of tickets closed by the Particular user using advanced JQL query, but we want to display all users results in the Report instead of going and searching for each users reports.

In the webinar I heard that this will be supported by automation in the near future.
Could you please help us in this regard,Thanks in advance

Why has this to do with automation? Are you trying to generate a custom report and then email it to selected recipients?

If you are ok checking from a jira dashboard you could try using a bidimensional filter running a JQL like: project in (P1, P2, ... , Pn) AND StatusCategory = Done. In the x-axis group by assignee and in the y-axis group by status.

With this you can't count comments, tough. 

Hopefully this can at least help you out a bit.

Hi there,

Developer from Automation here.

We recently added some support for being able to sum over some of our smart values, which could allow you to generate an email based on those values. It is possible to create a scheduled rule that runs a JQL with our lookup issues, and then attempt to sum/calculate some fields.

But I'm not sure on the way it would interact with your report, it's not a generated report or anything at this stage, but you can use it with actions such as sending an email, or setting a field.
