Jira custom fields not synchronized to salesforce

Hi Team,

Some of our Jira users are working on salesforce projects, they are mapped some of Jira fields (system & custom) to salesforce tool. When the ticket is created Jira system fields are fletching vales from salesforce, but custom fields are not.

Is there possibility to achieve custom field values as like system fields?

Please suggest.

Thank you!

Regards,
Srinivas

Hi @Srinivas ,

Thanks for posting your question here.

Can you please throw some more light on what tool are you using for an integration between Jira and Salesforce and the use-case here?

You can try Exalate to sync between Jira and Salesforce and it's absolutely possible to sync custom fields as well, it works just like syncing system fields.

With the script mode that is provided by Exalate, you get a lot of Flexibility and Customisation!

Thanks, Dhiren

@Srinivas hello. Sorry to hear that you're experiencing such an unpleasant issue. How did you connect the two systems - by a 3rd party tool? If so, maybe you should check out the integration settings and adjust the field mapping. You can also check out ZigiOps. It's a 100% no-code solution that connects Jira&SF & keeps them in sync in real time. It can be customized so you can choose the fields you want to sync/populate between the systems (you can check this Jira Salesforce article for more clarification).

What are you using to do this synchronisation?  Salesforce App?  Something in Salesforce?  Your own scripted REST calls (from either end)?
