Jira board doesn't update tasks

When I am on Jira board in project management, the tasks doesn't get updated.  For example, I would click done on the completed task but it doesn't get removed from the board.  It just sits there in the "to-do"  When I refresh browser it just spins the loading forever.  They only way to refresh is by clicking on project management.  It will then restart itself and everything is updated.  It's not working like it used to be where done tasks are removed from the "to-do" tab.  I don't get any updated tasks if someone where to send me a task.  I have to click on project management to renew manually.
