Jira Service Desk feedback Edited

We are working in implementing Jira Service Desk and it seems to used by a lot in this sub. Please share what works and hasn’t worked for you. We currently don’t have a ticket system so this is being built from the ground up.

I was just curious from people that may have already set it up in the past, do you have any Do's and Dont's for this product?? This is the first time im doing a project like this and first time using/seeing Atlassian products also.

I have seen there is a Marketplace im assuming it works in the same way as Chrome Apps or similar, how safe are these to use? Are they vetted by Atlassian or could they be put up there by anyone and everywhere without question?? Only reason I ask is we have alot of rules and regulations around our work and I would hate to be the one setting something up that could be leaking confidential information out.
