Jira PIE Chart Gadget customisation

My requirement is as below:

I want to have option available to add custom colors as per the field selection in the PIE chart gadget of Jira7.

Is there any way to do so, or anyone have tried this customization ?

You can't do this with that gadget: the colors of the slices are automatically selected.

But, having access to the Jira source code, you could add your own logic to select the colors or add a new configuration parameter that allows manually selecting the colors.

It's simple to choose the color of your pie charts in Jira Custom Charts.

It's very easy to use the color picker, so your charts can be consistent.

You can even use HEX codes if needed.
