Hello Guys,
I would like to discuss and share experiences about the possible integrations between: Gitlab and JIRA Software / Service Desk.
I'm using the standard (free) feature to integrate Gitlab commits with JIRA Software Projects, and it's working very well.
What I would like to setup / configure are these 2 scenarios:
Scenario 1 - the integration between Gitlab and the Service Desks, in order to have the commits inside the Incidents / Service Requests / etc.., in order to cover the scenario where there is a service desk, but is not relevant to have a software projects.
Scenario 2 - the integration between Gitlab and JIRA Software Project and JIRA Service Desk, to cover the scenarios where there is a software project with a related service desk.
What I would like to create is:
Scenario 1
A developer made a Gitlab commit, and this is updating and changing the status of a ticket or a set of tickets (Incidents / Service Request) in JIRA Service Desk.
Scenario 2
A developer made a Gitlab commit, and this is updating the JIRA Software Project and the related JIRA Service Desk.
Do you have any experience about these scenarios?
It is possible to create this configuration or is mandatory to purchase an add-on?
Thank you very much for sharing your comments.
Cheers,
LF
