Issue displays the old status in the new view if the transition is executed through API

Is anyone else seeing this issue in the new Jira view? I have users reporting issues with a plugin that updates the status of tickets using the REST API. When they load tickets in the new view, the status is displayed incorrectly as the previous status, but when viewed in the old view, they show correctly.
