Importing a Backup to while installing JIra

facing a problem with importing to last backup data while re-installing jira....

the backup file is not installing properly and m getting some database column length error problem ....need ans ASAP

Post the detatiled log snippet.

here is logged bug...what i do is solve is "i unzip the file and set the specified column size as -1 and then zip it again" but after  there appears same bug but with a different table name...

pls help

  • Unzip your backup set
  • Locate the activeobjects.xml 

  • Identify the column causing the issue
    • <column name="CONTENT" primaryKey="false" autoIncrement="false" sqlType="12" precision="255"/>

  • Change the Precision to -1, as so:
    • <column name="CONTENT" primaryKey="false" autoIncrement="false" sqlType="12" precision="-1"/>
  • Re-zip both activeobjects.xml and entities.xml files
  • Retry operation
