The big question is, how to write a gadget in Java to use in Jira onPremise, if fact we want to use the information in the jira's database to mesaure tasks, epics, stories.
I think that it is possible, but I don't know where start.

I did read the article, so I understand that the gadget is a Google gadget by definition so, what about the plugin, I see that the plugin can be programmied in Java and share it in the marketplace, that is correct?
