How do you typically track static pipeline type work in Jira?

Eric Smith January 18, 2018

Essentially I have a pipeline of work that never changes - so I'd like to use a template with a parent task and subtasks, so that I can track this very simply.

An example of this type of work would be creating an asset.  Concept > Model > UV > Texture > Design Hookup.

My problem is that using subtasks in Jira Agile is painful - it's more work to track with filters, and Jira refuses to let us assign subtasks to different sprints.

Is there anyone out there who has a similar issue?  How do you track it?
