Estimating support cost for administrating the Atlassian suite of products

We are trying to ramp up and deploy the Atlassian Suite of products: Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Desk, HipChat, Bitbucket, Crowd, Bamboo, and Statuspage.  We are new to all the Atlassian products so there will be a ramp up time.  We are designing an environment to support ~200 users to start off with.

Prior to our roll out we need to establish a support staff to support all these tools.  We are trying to estimate what that cost maybe so we can tell our upper management how much budget to set aside for this effort.

Topics we know that needs to be included in that cost are:

- How many headcount (Full-time)?

- Tool admin. training cost

- How often do we need to patch these application per year?

- ????

Does anyone know if there is maybe an online calculator to figure this support cost or had to  do something similar in their company to come up with support cost?

Thanks

-Since you are new setup, initially it will take more effort, to help users, I would say 5 to 6 support people in the beginning, after year or two, you can manage with 3 to 4 people for 200 users.

-training cost - you can see online with Atlassian or you can reach out to expert partner.

- it depends, if you need new features or bug fixes, you can update every month,

otherwise, recommended approach is every quarter you can upgrade them, or better would be once in 6 months.

Thanks for your info.  May I ask how large of a deployment and support team you have at your company?
