Custom field validation when specific project is selected

I have created a custom field "xyz" used in several screens which is linked with 10 projects. This custom field is a Select List (single choice) type whose default field value is kept as "None" for all the projects.

Now, I want to have default value "abc" selected when a particular project is selected.

How can I achieve this? Can anyone pls help me here.

You can do this by creating a new 'context' for the custom field, which will allow you to specify distinct values and default options for each project.  Take a look here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-a-custom-field-776636423.html
