Cross-Departmental reporting with sprints that do not align

Looking for advice on how to easily link issues/tasks/epics across multiple departments that don't use the same definitions or delivery deadlines.

This should be a discussion item with people on a call to discuss.

Hi @Rob Gauthier

You can do that with Jira apps. eazyBI is a Jira app for reporting and charts, and analyzing data and create charts over multiple projects/sprints is out of the box here.

You may want to check out the eazyBI demo report that demonstrates this ability: Multiple sprints story-points burndown

multiple sprints report.png

In this report, all active sprints, that are imported from several project boards, are used to create a Sprint burn-down chart. The sprints should not start at the same time, the period from the first sprint start date until the last sprint end date is displayed in the report. Committed, resolved, remaining story points are retrieved from all selected sprints  (in this case, all active) automatically.

In a similar way, you may create velocity charts, sprint balance, and other reports.

Do not hesitate to contact us at support@eazybi.com for any further questions or assistance.

Best,

Ilze // eazyBI Customer Support consultant
