Connection to PGSQL issue

cmigliaccio February 19, 2019

Hello,

I am installing Jira using PostgreSQL 11, and am getting an error while testing the connection. The error message I receive is the following one:

Error connecting to database

The connection attempt failed.

PostgreSQL is correctly installed, I have created the JiraDB owned by a jira user, and have actually successfully tested connecting to it using a Client SQL (Squirrel) to rule out any issues with the PG Instance.

I will be looking forward to receiving your reply.

Thanks,

Andrés

I have changed the PG version, downgrading it to 9.6, but the error persists!

Thanks for nothing as I have actually found the issue!

To be fair, one hour for volunteers to try to help you is not very fair.  Give us a chance, we're in different time zones, have things like work, family life, eating and sleeping to do.

Also, a lack of the error detail would stop us dead too - we need to know what the underlying error might be.
