Looking for a way to get a more compact view of the cards on Jira boards.

There's a plugin that does just that: that we are investigating, but I also wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone had any alternative suggestions as well.

Hi Taylor,

Could you elaborate the need a bit more? Is it to get more "compact" information on the cards or something along the lines of a better project overview?

The ask is just to be able to see more issues at once when looking at a board.

"It would be great to have a more compact view such that you can more easily glance over lots of issues at a time."

If I understand you correctly, then I think this might be of interest to you.

The Dependency Map plugin is great for providing such an overview. You can easily see a large number of issues at once in various layouts, the tool also lets you zoom in and out depending on how much compact information you need to see. More than that you can also see dependencies between issues and quickly detect when something is off track.

I hope this will be of help to you.
