Automatically blocking tickets during a Change Freeze window

I have been searching everywhere for a solution but cannot find one. I want to see if there is any way to automatically block Change Request Tickets based on a particular date range.

We are looking at implementing a Change Freeze window and would like some way of ensuring that Change Requests cannot be set to a status of scheduled during that period. Is anyone aware of a plugin that might help with this?

@John JonesDid you ever find a way of doing this, I'm after an identical thing

We were unable to find a way of blocking changes based on a date field but we were able to add "pop-up" notes below the date field such that when the change is planned during the freeze period, the pop-up text warns the user that they are planning a change during a change freeze period and that the change may not be approved.

@John JonesThanks - I realised we can do it via a simple validator (or just the warning) but bit annoying to keep the periods updated that way, was hoping you found something a bit more solid.

+1. we also would like this functionality.
