Automatically asign a subtask

At the moment when I create subtasks I have to re-assign all the subtasks, even if the story is already assigned to someone.

I think it would be great if it then assigns it automatically to the same person. Is there now a way of working where this is less work then re-assigning all the subtasks?

You can do this with the (free) Automation Lite addon for Jira.

You create a rule that says effectively "when issue created, if issue type is sub-task, then edit the Assignee to set to x".

Thanks we will get the add-on.
