Ability to order Resolutions in Resolution Scheme

Ranganath HV May 20, 2021

After upgrading to Jira DC 8 we have found few new features and I appreciate it.

We have Resolutions created in Resolution section, but this will have their unique ID's based on the time created.

This list will be growing based on the company & team size.

Resolution scheme gives an opportunity to control the resolution types required by project or issue type.

But when we try to arrange Resolutions based on Alphabetical order, it should be managed in main resolution section, but we need ability to control resolution order from Resolution schemes.

So this will help us to manage Resolutions based on projects or Resolution schemes.

Hi @Ranganath HV

Reordering resolutions per project or having another default resolution for each project is not possible. Resolution configurations are global.

1 related setting is the usage of workflow properties jira.field.resolution.include and jira.field.resolution.exclude where you can set which resolutions are available for a specific workflow transition. This allows you to limit the amount of resolutions a user can pick in a certain status transition but not really what you are looking for.
