Introducing Bulk User Management Add-On: Activate & Deactivate Users Easily!

Let’s say you want to perform bulk operations on 1000s of users present in Jira or Confluence, like deleting users, activating, deactivating inactive users, or some other operation. You will have to follow the entire procedure outlined below:

1. Search that user in your Atlassian Application

2. Click on more information about the user

3. Select the option that you want to perform [Delete / Activate / Deactivate]

4. Confirm the user and then perform the operation

Some applications have three steps, while others have four, but you can only delete/activate/deactivate one user at a time; there is no way to do this for multiple users at once.

Sounds like a time-consuming and complicated procedure? Don’t worry, miniOrange has come up with the Bulk User Management plugin that allows you to perform bulk operations on users directly from the View Users page. You can also search for users using a variety of fields such as username, full name, email, and group, you can filter users by Active User and Inactive User based on last login activity and more. Using this search filter, you can select multiple users and perform operations such as deleting, activating, or deactivating with a single click. The operations can be performed manually as well as automatically in the plugin.

How to Save Licenses and Auto-Deactivate Users?

Did you know that 10-20% of your users are no longer active; however, you continue to pay for those users? Are you concerned that the additional Licensed User count and inactive user accounts will cause an overhead? The Bulk User Management plugin will assist you to resolve the issue of additional users along with saving the cost for it.

To avoid unnecessary user tier upgrades, Jira, Confluence, or Crowd applications should automatically disable an inactive user every 24 hours and this can be achieved by using our Bulk Management Plugin. Using this plugin you can simply deactivate the users automatically using the scheduler or manually by selecting multiple users who have not logged in over a specific period (for example, the last 30 days) or deactivate the user who has never logged in before.
