There are already several questions in the community regarding surfacing subtasks, but they seem to be referring to Jira, not Jira Work Management, or they at least aren't guiding me to a solution.
I inherited a JWM board, so I didn't set it up. All seems to be fine, except that I cannot easily surface subtasks on the Board or the Timeline, even when they have deadlines associated with them. The only place I can find them (or even know I have some to manage) is on the Summary view, under Types of Work.
I've instructed my team not to create more subtasks so they don't get missed, but what's happening now is our list of Tasks is really, really long and tour Board view is really overwhelming.
I have Admin privileges, but I could use some help navigating this. My real job is running Marketing. (:
Thank you in advance!
Hello @Katherine Gray
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Subtasks will show on the JWM board, but they will be nested under their parent issue. They can't be separated in the board display from the parent issue.
This is an example of the indicator that an issue has subtasks.
When you click on that button you see the subtasks displayed below the parent issue.
Subtasks also show nested under their parent issue in the Timeline
Does that help address your need?
@Trudy Thanks for your quick reply! Unfortunately, no, I don't see that toggle carrot in my view of the Board nor of the Timeline. Perhaps this is the setting I need to change?
I can, in the Timeline, surface the subtasks if I filter so *only* those items are visible. That helps a bit, but I wish I had the view you're showing.

Can you provide a screen image of a card from the board that has subtask, and the Issue Details view of the same issue showing the subtasks?
