Link Text in a Custom Field

Hello!

I would like to use link text in a custom URL field.

For example, the link would like this:

Order

But it would open this:

https://www.atlassian.com

I understand this fundamental behavior for URLs but I can't figure out with these custom fields. Help appreciated!

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi @Andrew Willy

As far as I know, you can't do this in the URL Field - it just displays a URL.

If you want to hyperlink text to a web link, you need to use a Paragraph custom field - which supports rich text, allowing you to do this.

There's a good description for how this works on this Feature Request: JRACLOUD-69877

Hi @Andrew Willy

I want to achieve the same functionality, were you able to achieve it yes, then could you please share how did you achieve it?

We ended up leaving the URL displayed as URL.

We used a paragraph custom field for link but it is rendering as a link half of the text due to space between the words. How can we solve this issue.

Thanks,

Yugandhar.

How have you setup the field / link?
