Hi there!
I am working with Jira (atlassian) and i have an epic called "conferences and events" (see second picture) and for each event I have created a story e.g. "conference lille" and under "conference lille" i have created substories but these are not displayed on the board nor in the sprints (see picture nr. 1).
Other info:
- I am not the administrator (so maybe I do not have all the function)
- chat GTP told me what follows:
- Log in to your Jira board.
- Click on the 'View' or 'Display Options' icon (may appear as a gear icon) to open the display options menu.
- Look for the 'Subtask' or 'Subtask' settings within the display options menu.
(I cannot find this options: can you help me? )
- Make sure that the option to show subtasks is enabled or selected.
- Save the changes made to the display settings, if necessary.
Many many thanks for the hero that has a solution for me :)
Have a nice day!
Best, Elena
Are you asking about having sub-tasks display on a roadmap, or on an agile board?
Thanks,
Kian
Ciao @Kian Stack Mumo Systems ,
Nice to meet you! Thanks you for your super quick answer and for your question.
I would like to have the subtask in the the Agile Board.
Do you have a solution for that?
Thanks & Best,
Elena

@Elena Farrace,
As far as I am aware, there is no way to get indavidual sub-tasks to show on the Scrum board backlog or on the Roadmap. Subtasks will show inside of active sprints and will be shown on a Kanban backlog.
Thanks,
Kian

Hi there!
I found the solution to make appear the sub task in the Board.
When opening in the backlog (or sprint view) the subtask, just add afterward the epic and "relate to" this subtask to a story.
You cannot create a subtask directly in the board.
I hope this may helps others.
Best regards,
Elena

Hi Elena,
If I get your question correctly, I believe you can view the sub-task from the "List" and "Timeline" tab.
However, you can only view the "List" and "Timeline" tab from Jira Work Management - Project Management Template.
Hope this helps.
