Is there an option to make dependent (blocked) tasks move on the timeline, if i move a task that blocks it?

For example: A blocks B. A is moved on the timeline by two weeks. So B should move on the timeline by two weeks, too.

Hi Anne-Sophie - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

No, I don't think the dependent linked task will also move because it is not assumed that the timing is the same, just that they are dependent. But you might could do this with automation - changing the Start Date (or Due Date) of one issue if the linked issue Due Date changes.

Hello @John Funk

Thanks for this idea. How to implement this kind of automation. Sorry, but I'm new to JIRA automation. Thanks in advance

Hi Raimund,

I am looking to the same as you. Have you found out how to make this automation?
