my team used to use the emoticons - (/) (!) (x) - for a checklist in our issue descriptions. Since the JIRA update it is no longer rendering these as it used to. Is there any way to get them back?
Please make sure that the issue descriptions are using "wiki style renderer"

This can be configured in the field configuration scheme of the project i.e. mapping issueTypes to field configurations.
