tempo timesheet - plan time - how to automatic span estimated time across days

Fabio Support May 22, 2014

As an user/administrator, how can I plan issues in order to have etimated time spanned automatically across available days?

CASE:

one issue is estimated 20 hours long.

the user wish to dedicate 2 hours a day

he would like to set a start day (or a range of days) and, given a time availability of at least 2 hours a day, have Tempo Timesheet span the issue estimated time along the available days.

In the example above, assuming to start on 1st of june, 2 hours a day, 20 hours estimate, means an elapsed of 10 days (1 to 12 of june with week end off).

CURRENT:

given the above example, if Tempo plan feature is choosen, no way to perform such task.

Even choosing range, the span is given moltiplicating 2 hours for the number of days in the range, regardless of the etimation.

In the example, if I choose a range from 1 to 20 of june, it moltiplicates 2 x 15 days (20 days with weekends off), 30 hours planned against the real and wished 20, overlocking by 1/3 the real availability.

Hi Fabio, you are correct, Tempo does not offer functionality for this excact use case. We are very much aware of it however and hope to offer a better solution in the near future.
