tasks are set to done, but still visible under to do

we have a few items set the status as done, but we still able to see under to-do section, how to fix this, please advise.

"Visible under to-do" is a bit too vague to be sure, but it usually means one of two things:

• It's in the to-do column on the board.  This probably isn't the case here, as you mention the status is set to "done", and I imagine you have that mapped into the last column on the board.
• There are to-do reports and gadgets on the dashboard, and default filters and so-on.  These all look at Jira's standard flag for "done" which is not status, it is resolution.  If the resolution is empty, then the issue is "open".  If the resolution has any value in it at all (even if the value is called "unresolved"), then the issue is closed/done.

My best guess is that it is the second - your done issues do not have a resolution set.

If that is the case, then you'll want to look at setting it in your workflow.  If you're not actively using resolution, you can just set it in the background with a post-function and not trouble your users with it (and clear it on re-open as well)

Please check board configuration whether the Done status mapped to ToDo column or not? If it is mapped please make sure map to the respective column as your requirement.
