The rich text editor has those two modes: “Visual” and “Text“. Per default it starts in the “Visual” mode. Is it possible to start in “Text” mode instead? Either global or personal settings would be fine.
I could only find a setting to disable the rich text editor altogether.
Now I unchecked the “Enable rich text editor for users” and surprisingly this did exactly what I wanted (instead of really disabling it). So this problem is solved. 😄
