recommendation for upgrade path from Jira server 8.5.6 to 8.20.11

Currently running standalone Jira v8.5.6 server and would like to upgrade to v8.20.11 long term support release.  I am greatly appreciated if someone can assist with correct upgrade path.

Hi @MD 

You should always test the upgrade in a test environment first but you should not have issue as long as your infra is matching reaurements and supported platform.

You also need to check that the apps you are using have a release for the new version.

Yes, but still not sure where to start.  Do you happen to know what is the difference between installer and manually upgrade?  thank you
