newbie - create separate jira project for stories?

We have Jira and greenhopper installed and running. We moved our issues from Bugzilla to Jira. our projects are categorized by system components. I created the stories in one project but now see that stories will span various "projects" (i.e., components). Should I create a separate project for the stories? If so, should I clone or link each story to the various projects (components) as needed? help pls.

Hi Sue,

You would not normally create a separate project for stories. Why not just add the stories directly to the project under the correct component? For example you can go to the Planning board and choose the Component view. From here you can simply add stories for each different component.

Shaun
