The base url error indicates that Jira cannot reach itself when it tests with the base url you have configured.

Check that you have entered the correct one under admin -> general configuration.  If you have, then you have a network error, it is set up incorrectly (this is likely to be the problem with the speed and probably the mail as well)

Try nslookup and tracert commands to see how your server is resolving and routing to itself.

ranacse December 26, 2017

Dear Nic,

here is output

$ nslookup 139.59.242.35

That's not a trace from the server.  You need to be asking the server what route it traces to itself.

Also, perform the nslookup on the base url, again from the server, not an ip address from your client.

ranacse December 26, 2017

root@processengine:~# traceroute 139.59.242.35
traceroute to 139.59.242.35 (139.59.242.35), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 processengine.xyz (139.59.242.35) 0.032 ms 0.017 ms 0.008 ms
root@processengine:~# nslookup 139.59.242.35
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53

Non-authoritative answer:
35.242.59.139.in-addr.arpa name = processengine.xyz.

There is no Jira running on that base url.  So your base url is set incorrectly in the application and you need to change it to the url over which you connect to Jira.

index.html would normally be returned by a wget that finds a web-server running there, not a running Jira.

Could you

  1. Confirm that the browser image you gave us was a browser running on the droplet?  We don't care about the clients, it's the server that cannot reach itself.
  2. Have a look at the content of the index.html file - does it look like a Jira login/dashboard, or something else?
ranacse December 28, 2017

Dear, here is Jira portal from server. Can you send me your mail address, so i can provide you index.html.JIRA.pngThanks

December 28, 2017

Ok, that's all correct.

I think we need a look at the log file to see what errors are coming back when it performs the check.

Also, is there a proxy involved?  Is that set up correctly?

ranacse December 29, 2017

Dear,

there is no proxy.

which log need to provide?

Thanks
