how does a blocked issue reflect in the reports?

I have some cards that have almost everything done but there is a part missing that does not belong to our project, however we need it to finish that task and it is something too small to make a card of it. So we would like to put that issue(or card) as blocked, but I do not know how will it reflect in the reports. Will it still counting the blocking days as in progress?? or will it pause the issue time?
