Right now what I do is to switch to the old view, and view History from the Activity tab at the bottom. But this is not an elegant solution. Can't we view it directly in the new JIRA view?

I finally found it - In `JIRA 7` - to view `History` of ticket you need to click on bottom select list `Comment` between main section and comments list:
and then select `History`:

Hi Folks, as an alternative , you can try out Issue Change History for better reporting .
You can analyze and export issue history, including transitions, comments, updated fields, work log edits, attachment changes, and other activities
