epics disappear for boards based on filters

darianah October 12, 2017

Hello,

I created a board based on a filter (project = BRAN AND labels = frontend ORDER BY Rank ASC) and epics are not visible on the board, I need the epics to be visible on the board and on portfolio.

Would appreciate if someone can give me a call to guide me through this

Thanks,

Dariana

Do your Epics have a label of "frontend"?

Nic is on the right line of questioning here.  If the Epics you want to appear on the board do not also match your JQL filter that board is using, then they will not appear on that board.   If those Epics are in that BRAN project, then they would also need that label to match in that query.

Alternatively, you could try to tweak the JQL to include all epics in addition to your previous query with a syntax like:

(project=BRAN AND labels=frontend) OR issuetype=Epic ORDER BY Rank ASC

But this could be expected to include all the epics in this Jira instance.
