XSRF check failed

Pascal Kiechl August 12, 2020

Hi,

I keep running into the 'Forbidden (403), XSRF check failed' when trying to POST an issue via the Cloud REST API.

I have tried:

  • setting the 'X-Atlassian-Token: no-check' header
  • adding the origin URL to the whitelist (not available on Cloud, if I am reading this correctly)

What other avenues are there to try and get around this issue?

Some additional info: I am working on a Custom JIRA Connector for Power Automate, so my options are limited to what can be done with headers and settings in JIRA, I don't have the luxury of making use of browser-extensions.

Note, the pre-defined "official" JIRA Connector is perfectly capable of creating issues (unfortunately it appears to be using the v3 of the Cloud API, so the markdown formatting does not work for remotely created descriptions), so there has to be a way around this, I just haven't found it yet.

Any ideas / hints are very welcome. thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Pascal
