Workflows - Change of category not possible

Dear all,

we are using Jira since a few weeks. And I just wanted to change the categories of some of our collums. 

So now I am in a catch 22: I want to switch one column to "Ready" and one to "In Progress" but it doesn't work because, when I want to switch to "Ready" the error is "You cannot have two times the field ready" and if I first change the one from ready to in progress the error message is "You need to have one column with ready". What can i do?

Elke,

  Welcome to the community.  You will need to update the workflow first.  Once you change the status there you will be able to change it on the board. You can read more here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-columns/
