Will the Applink connection work between Sever and Data Center products?

Will the AppLink connection between Jira and Confluence will work if one server (Jira or Confluence) is on “Server” model, and one server is on “Data Center” model?

Yes, application links work the same way and we've used server/dc applinks for years.

The Server still communicates with the Data Center like before, the fact that a load balancer sits in front of it and directs that request to some of the node in the cluster has no bearing on AppLinks per se. If you had a reverse proxy sitting in front of your "old" Server, it would be effectively the same thing as with load balancer, just smaller scale.
