Will publishing a new workflow affect my active sprint closed tasks?

I want to publish a new workflow and apply it to a current active sprint

1. I applied new transition so that a task can be put to In Progress only from TO Do list

2. I added a new validation so that no task can be stated without General Estimation

How will this affect the tasks in current sprint

No, Changes to Workflow will not affect any sprints you have.
