Our company has a project that I am not attached to, yet daily I get notifications from all of the issues that have been updated. Why am I getting notifications for this project? I can't find a place where I've favorited or subscribed to the project.
So I found the answer. On this project, all devs (the jira-developers group) were give the scrum master role. Removed that role from the group and the notifications stopped.
You need to look at notification scheme link to this project maybe someone made some modification.
You can also look if someone create a filter with subscription to a group (and you're in this group).
Hope this helps.
