Which field in Okta's profiles is Jira's "full name" tied to? (Is it Display name? (Display name? Username? Or something else?)
We are planning SSO and provisioning for Okta and Jira and would like to know in advance.
Hi @HIRO ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!!
Generally, the Full name needs to be mapped to the Given Name and Family name in the okta configuration so it will automatically consider this as the full name in Jira.
Atlassian has a very detailed document on how we can integrate Okta with Atlassian Access and also configured user provisioning with attribute mapping and also YouTube video which helps you understand better.
Hope this information is helpful.
Cheers,
Mayur

Hi @HIRO - If you're open to using a Marketplace app, I would like to share a potential solution that may help in this scenario - MindPro Sync
This plugin allows you to integrate OKTA, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 or OneLogin external data with Jira and JSM and retrieve your user attributes (e.g - phone, location, department, etc..), map them in any Jira Custom field you want and display this data directly Jira issues or JSM requests (and portal).
The app is free for up to 10 users and if you would like to get a quick demo, just schedule here.
All the best,
Eduardo from MindPro team.
