When my team ends a sprint any issues not closed are being dumped into a new sprint which is generated. We have a number of open unstarted sprints, but instead the tasks move to a new sprint which we did not manually create. Please help
I'd probably contact support.atlassian.com, this sounds like a problem. Do you have any plugins installed or customizations applied? Are you using the Parallel Sprints function?
The default behavior is to drop into the top planned (not active) sprint. If there are no planned sprints, the issues move to the top of the backlog.
Any issues not completed at the end of the sprint will be moved to the next planned sprint, as they did not meet the team's definition of "Done". If you do not have a next planned sprint, they will be returned to the backlog and will be visible in the Backlog of the board.
This community is celebrating its one-year anniversary and Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes has all the feels.
