When moving closed issues from one project to another, do they move in their relative sprints?

We currently have a company based project with multiple boards which all use an aligned sprint. We're going to move said boards to individual projects and use individual sprints going forward.

However, if we move closed issues relating to a particular board, will they move under the sprint they were closed under i.e. will the new board inherit the closed sprint cycles or will they all just move as closed under the current sprint created in the new board?

It will retain the existing sprint.

One bit of caution - I know in the past that if the sprint was still open, that sprint would then appear in the new project, so I would just make sure that you're not moving anything in an open sprint to be on the safe side.
