What happens to Jira tickets when unsubscribing from Jira Agile?

Michael Venable June 2, 2014

We are considering cancelling Jira Agile and switching to Jira Classic. We currently have several Jira Agile projects with open tickets. What will happen if we unsubscribe from Jira Agile? Do the tickets convert to a Jira Classic project? Will the data in the tickets be lost? Is there a prescribed way to safely cancel Jira Agile without data loss?

Hello Michael,

There should be no data missing after you have cancelling JIRA Agile subscription since JIRA Agile is one of JIRA plugin and still refer to JIRA for its data. I belive that the data will be remained, but you will not be able to use JIRA Agile features(e.g. Agile Boards) anymore until you have subscribed back.

You could ask for backup just to make sure you hold on something.

Hope this helps.

Julian.

All your sprint information will be affected though, as that's a function of Agile.
