What are the System requirement of JIRA and Conleunce?

Kashif Hassan December 26, 2017

Dear sir and madam,

We bought the JIRA and Conleunce this month and going to install them. While we have some questions for the Systems requirements.

1. Can we install JIRA and Conleunce in a same server? Whether  them can share server with other application system(eg. CAD software license server), or we have to prepare a separate server for JIRA and Conleunce?

2. Are the windows server 2012 r2 and windows 2016 supported?

3. I find the suggestion hardware requirements list on your website. Can you give minimum requirements for us?

4. Does the latest version of MySQL and Microsfot SQL Server is support? You only list the MySQL 5.5/5.6 , SQL Server 2012/2014 on your website.

5. Can we use the Microsoft SQL Server express as the database. If not, please let us know why not.

6. Do you have any support team in China? If yes, please provide me a contact phone number or a email address.

thanks.

  1. Yes, as long as the server is powerful enough to run everything you install on it.
  2. Yes
  3. Please re-read the minimum requirements docs, they are accurate
  4. Please re-read the requirements docs, they are accurate
  5. As stated already, SQL Server Express is not supported.  It might work, but it is not supported.  The reason is that it is not a database good enough to be used for a production platform
  6. Atlassian does not have a support team in China.  Additionally, if you want 'phone support (which is 24/7 and location-agnostic), you will need the premium support option.

Hello Nic,

1. For SQL Server express, do you mean that we can try to use express version, and it might work. But it don't be tested and don't have  fix bugs or provide assistance?

2. Is it the only free way to get help by submitting question on your website?

Yes, it is not thoroughly tested and if it goes wrong, you won't get any support for it.

If you have a commercial licence for over 10 users, then you can raise support requests with Atlassian.
