Want to run the project through JIRA Agile

Aakash Basnet February 17, 2015

we are new to JIRA and was running the project out of JIRA. But now we have JIRA installed in our company and as a JIRA admin I have to implement the project through JIRA agile. So kindly request to provide the information and steps from basic point to advance.

Do I need to create a customized workflow like JIRA only in JIRA agile or only we can do it by simply adding column?

No, you do not need a customised workflow.

You've got two basic options for the workflow - build or use one that matches your process, and build your boards around that, or you can "simplify" the workflow as documented at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Using+JIRA+Agile+Simplified+Workflow (this is the "simply adding column" approach)

You also need to decide if Kanban or Scrum suits you better.

Without knowing those two questions, I really can't guide you a lot further - I wouldn't be saying anything the Atlassian documentation does not cover.  Have a read through that, think about your current and desired process, work out what you need and then come back to us if there are questions.
